Shiftpace Privacy Policy
This policy covers the iOS app Shiftpace: Shift Planner and its widgets. Our website policy is at nmcapps.com/privacy.
1. Your schedule stays on your device
Your rotations, shift types, exceptions and pay settings are stored only on your device. There is no account. We have no server for this data and we never receive it.
If you turn on optional iCloud sync, your data is stored in your own private iCloud database (CloudKit private database). It belongs to your Apple ID. We cannot access it.
The app never accesses your location.
2. Calendar access
Shiftpace asks for full calendar access only when you turn on calendar sync. We use it only to create, update and remove the app's own shift events in the calendar you pick, and to detect edits to them. Calendar data never leaves your device. It is not sent to us or to analytics. You can turn off calendar sync, or remove access in iOS Settings, at any time.
If you pick a shared system calendar, the people it is shared with can see the shift events in it. That sharing is handled by Apple, not by us.
3. Pay estimate
The pay estimate is calculated on your device from the rates you enter. Pay amounts are not sent to us.
4. Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives purchase and receipt data and an anonymous app user ID so it can verify what you are entitled to. It does not receive your name or email address from us.
5. Product analytics
We use PostHog, hosted in its EU Cloud (Frankfurt, EU region), to understand how people use the app. It receives anonymous usage events only:
- screens viewed;
- which rotation template was chosen;
- paywall viewed and closed, plan selected, trial started, purchase, restore.
Each event carries an anonymous random identifier, the app version, device model, OS version and language. Analytics contain no calendar contents, no pay amounts and no personal data. IP-based location is disabled. Events are not linked to your identity. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), we do not track you across apps or websites, we show no ads, and we do not sell data.
6. Retention and deletion
Your data remains on your device until you delete it or delete the app. PostHog keeps analytics events for up to one year and then deletes them. The anonymous identifier is not shown in the app, so we cannot look up your events for you. If you want analytics data deleted, email us and we will delete what can be associated with your request.
7. Children
Shiftpace is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Legal basis and your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
Our legal basis is legitimate interest for anonymous analytics and contract for purchases. You have the right to access, delete and object to the processing of data about you. To use these rights, contact us below. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices change. The effective date above shows the latest revision. Material changes will be noted in the app or on this page.
